The Pressley Ridge Crisis Stabilization and Family Preservation program in Beaver, Washington, Fayette and Westmoreland Counties works with parents who have an open case with the State and are in danger of losing their children to foster care.
We work alongside families to enhance their protective capacities and ensure that each child has a loving and safe place to call home. The ultimate goal of the program is to reduce trauma and out-of-home removals.
Specialized support for your situation.
We understand that every family is unique. That is why our services are specifically designed to each family’s needs and situation.
It begins with a thorough assessment of strengths and immediate safety issues within the identified youth and his or her family. This assessment includes: Family Risk Assessment, a Psycho-social assessment, Family Genogram and Eco-map to determine risk factors for mental health issues and/or drug and alcohol abuse or dependence
Transforming lives through the healing power of family.
We believe that every child, young adult and family is worthy of love, safety and the opportunity to live a fulfilling life free from pain, fear, and isolation.
Our services are designed to help families enhance their overall level of safety, with increased parenting skills, increased coping skills and problem-solving skills to teach youth to make safe decisions, allowing them to remain in their homes.
Services are provided to every family identified for a minimum of 30 days with four to eight weeks of service for the majority of families. The intensity of service is dependent upon the unique needs of each identified family; however, due to the nature of the population served, contact is expected at a minimum of three visits per week.
Strength in numbers.
Families work alongside a qualified and compassionate team of two professionals, both a master’s level and bachelor’s level family worker. Visits are conducted both as a team and as individuals depending on the purpose of each session.
